Swiptv builds the tunnel on your device. Your VPN company runs the servers at the other end. The two sides see very different things, and it is worth knowing which is which.
Nothing about your VPN use reaches us
Swiptv does not record what you watch through the tunnel, which profile you connect with, when you connect, or how long you stay. None of it is sent anywhere, because none of it is collected in the first place.
Your keys never leave your device
The private key from your configuration goes straight into the tvOS Keychain, the same vault that holds your passwords. It is not written into the VPN settings, it is not uploaded, and it is not shared with your other devices. Each device keeps its own profiles.
Your VPN company sees your traffic
This is the part worth understanding. Once the tunnel is up, everything leaving your device travels through their servers, not only Swiptv. What they record, and for how long, is set by their privacy policy. Swiptv has no say in it and no view of it.
Choosing a VPN company is choosing who gets to see your traffic instead of your internet provider. Worth reading their policy before you subscribe rather than after.
What Swiptv does collect
Like the rest of the app, Swiptv collects crash reports and anonymous usage statistics so we can fix what breaks. None of it contains your VPN traffic, your profiles, your keys or the servers you connect to. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
